We’re delighted to announce that Apex Training has become the first official training partner of the Insulation and Cladding Association (INCA).
Formed in 1981, INCA represents the External Wall Insulation (EWI) industry across the UK, championing technical excellence, high-quality workmanship and best practice. Its mission is to support members through strong collaboration, effective communication, and industry-leading standards.
Becoming an INCA partner provides a valuable opportunity for Apex Training, as The Verdancy Group’s training arm, to contribute across a range of committees, from the main board to training, technical, marketing and stakeholder groups.
As a training partner, we’re proud to play a role in shaping the future of the industry while supporting INCA members with the skills and knowledge they need.
Our role as a training partner also strengthens our ability to engage directly with key influencers across the insulation sector. Through our Apex Training Centres, powered by The Verdancy Group, we offer a wide range of industry-relevant courses designed to raise standards and address the growing demand for skilled professionals within the EWI industry.
In recent months, we’ve built strong working relationships with fellow INCA members, including SIKA and SWIFIX. These partnerships have supported the development of new training facilities and the delivery of accredited courses, further reinforcing our commitment as a trusted training partner within the sector.
Steven Kiakowski, Director of The Verdancy Group said “Becoming INCA’s first training partner is a significant milestone for us. It not only strengthens our role within the insulation sector but also provides a valuable platform to engage with members on key developments. We have listened closely to the industry on the most critical certification requirements it currently faces, and this has directly informed our involvement in discussions around the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment, helping to accelerate certification and recognition across the workforce.”
We recently had the pleasure of hosting an INCA Scotland Breakfast Meeting at our new headquarters based at the BE-ST Innovation Campus in Hamilton.
Reflecting on the event, INCA CEO John Sparrow said: “It was absolutely fantastic to see so many of our Scottish members at the INCA Scotland Breakfast Meeting. We heard some fascinating presentations covering the challenges and opportunities ahead for the EWI sector.
“Attendees were overwhelmingly positive about the event, particularly the insights shared on competence frameworks, training initiatives, and the ongoing skills shortage. The opportunity to network and take part in interactive discussions added significant value.
“A huge thank you to The Verdancy Group for hosting the event and making us feel so welcome.” As INCA’s first dedicated training partner, we’re excited to support the industry’s continued growth – helping to build a skilled workforce, promote best practice, and contribute to a more sustainable built environment.
